Here’s a selection of the main travel content writing services I offer:
Blog Posts & Articles
I love a good blog post, and so will your clients! They are a great way of establishing yourself as an authority in your industry, as well as building trust with your audience and adding weight to your other online travel content. I specialise in using Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) strategies and targeted keywords to increase reach and ranking, which means more eyeballs on your content, and a greater brand awareness too. Destination guides, product reviews, and travel itineraries are all do-able too.
Web Pages
Need some snappy landing pages that reel your customers in and entice them to embark on a multi-stop journey around your website? Using creative SEO techniques and compelling travel copywriting, I can produce web pages and product descriptions that you’ll be proud to call your own. They are the doors to your shop, so it’s important to get them right. If you have existing content that isn’t quite hitting the mark or need pages optimising for the search engine gods, then I offer travel copy editing too.
Newsletters & Emails
Save your emails from the dreaded trash folder by letting me get my hands on them before you click that scary send button. Whether you want to put together a monthly travel newsletter for your subscribers or are stuck creating email sales sequences, I’m here to help. I can set up templates and work with you to create content schedules relevant to your potential clients . We’ll get those open rates soaring, and the click-through conversions roaring. Just like the lions that your customers will soon be seeing on their safari in Kenya.
Brochures & Print Copy
People still love a printed travel brochure, despite having the world at their fingertips online. There’s just something so satisfying about running your hands over the glossy cover and opening it up to reveal the possibility of adventure within. Brochures are a great talking point too, and a constant reminder that a holiday needs to be booked! I’ll leave the shiny pictures to you, but when it comes to the travel copywriting part, I’m your girl! I can help with text for printed flyers, leaflets, magazines, and direct mail too. Just say the word…no wait, that’s my job.
Content Strategy & Brand Tone
Just starting out on your content journey or feel it’s time for a rebrand? I can help you figure out your long-term content goals, as well as rustling up some bespoke tone of voice guidelines that align with your brand personality and business values. Cracking your tone will strengthen your brand, build trust, and pave the way for an emotional connection with your clients. Together, we’ll show your audience exactly what you’re about, and make them realise they need your Brazilian beach holidays or New Orleans ghost tours in their lives.
Costs
On most travel copywriting websites you’ll find a lot of fluff about all projects being unique and therefore charged on an individual basis. This is how I work too. But isn’t it frustrating when you have to jump through hoops just to get an indication of costs?
So, here’s a little teaser to make sure we’re playing in the same ballpark:
Ad Hoc Projects
- Short blog articles (700 words) – from £220
- Long blog articles (1000 words) – from £350
- Mega long blog articles/guides/white papers (10,000 words) – from £1400
- Web pages – from £250
- Copy editing – from £150
- Email newsletters – from £90
- Social media posts – from £50
- Friendly communication and a bit of dry northern banter – free
Fees include planning and development, subject research, time for calls and/or email consultations, SEO keyword research and meta descriptions if required, proofreading, one round of edits, and whole lot of behind-the-scenes tasks.
Monthly Package
This can be tweaked to suit your needs, and can include things like blogs, email sequences, social media posts, content planning and scheduling, and web page refreshes.
Here’s an example which has been particularly popular with hotels and tour operators:
- 2 blogs, 1 email newsletter, 8 social media posts – from £850
Retainer Service
£420 for 6 hours a month
For ongoing writing and marketing support, I offer a retainer service that can cover everything from web page and blog writing to content strategy planning, email sequences and travel industry discussion. We would have a chat to find out what you need, and tailor a package to meet those goals.
I’ll dedicate a set number of hours to working on your projects each month, and we’ll decide together what tasks need to be covered. This is a great option if you know you’ll want ongoing support but want to keep things fluid, with room to be flexible on the type and amount of work required.
Quotes are valid for 30 days. A 50% deposit will get me out of the starting blocks, with the remainder due on completion.
Have a travel content writing project in mind? Let’s talk and I’ll send over a no obligation quote.
I use UK benchmarks in the annual ProCopywriter’s survey to set my rates. I’m also fully insured with QBE.
